This year's "Around The Hat" V1 (rudderless 1-man) race included an adaptive division. Four of the adaptive racing crew members took to the bay waters at Kualoa and raced in this event. Vic Allen (Kaua'i) and Karl Kahui (Maui) flew in for the race and joined O'ahu paddlers Mike Nishimoto and Diane Whitcomb for the race around 2 buoys and back to the finish line. Well done, gang! And thank Kamanu Composites for including an adaptive division in this annual tradition.
